Jen Repp

GIS Analyst

Jen specializes in spatial analytics and modeling the distribution of marine debris. Jen graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences with a Geospatial Science minor from Stony Brook University. She is finishing her Master’s in Marine Studies with a concentration in Oceanography from the University of Delaware. At UD, she studies the distribution of derelict crab pots in Delaware’s Inland Bays. For this project, she conducted side-scan sonar surveys, derelict crab pot removals, and assessed the impact of derelict crab pots on the recreational blue crab fishery. Jen interned with NOAA at the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center in 2019, contributing to work studying the impact of derelict fishing nets on coral reefs in Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument.
